Today we depart to Taormina & Etna Volcano: first stop will be Taormina, an amazing Mediterranean resort. On arrival independent visit the Greek-Roman Theatre and admire the fantastic scenery and view. Time at leisure for shopping or exploring the town on your own. Later a short drive takes us to a winery on the slopes of Mt. Etna. This estate also produces olive oil, grappa, sparkling wine and artisan food. We indulge in a typical light-lunch at the farmhouse. During afternoon back to Messina port/hotel.

Today we drive along the freeway to Roccalumera. From there, the coastal road, rich of villas, flowering gardens, and picturesque villages, leads to the historical artist town of Savoca. In a private house in the village, Bar Vitelli houses a collection of local artisans' tools and photographs taken when Francis Ford Coppola shot scenes of The Godfather II. Stroll along the village's main street past Santa Lucia and San Michele churches for a short view over the valley. Drive away, we'll find a charming little village over-looking the Arab-Norman castle of Capo Sant'Alessio. In 1990, Al Pacino and Sophia Coppola shot scenes here for The Godfather III. From the main square, a lane meets the circular steps that ascend to the Gothic-Catalan portal in front of the Church of San Agostino. Later pass to Taormina. On arrival time at leisure for shop or explore the town on your own. During afternoon back to Messina port/hotel.

Today we depart to Cefalù and the Tindari Sanctuary: Cefalù is a charming coastal town which boasts a massive Norman Cathedral with outstanding mosaics. On arrival time to explore the town. Later continue to Tindari. It was founded as the Greek colony of Tyndaris in 396 BC and was located on the high ground overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Gulf of Patti. The Battle of Tyndaris took place off the coast in 257 BC. It is also famous for the poem Vento a Tindari, written by Salvatore Quasimodo, as well as a Sanctuary to the Madonna and a lagoon. Local legend tells that the lagoon was created after a pilgrim who came to see the Madonna refused to pray to the Madonna because she was black. The woman accidentally dropped her baby into the ocean and the Madonna made the land rise to save the baby. The sands of Marinello have taken shape of the profile of the Madonna.
